My advice to you is to take each suggestion, Google it when necessary and learn about it. Then go about applying these tips on your website. Once you have done so, then move on to the next tip.

However, I would say that the first five are very important overall if you want to rank well in search engines for your selected keywords.

Comments on keywords:

You can add 60 to 80 characters of keywords on your website’s meta tags for best results. However, when optimizing your site, I would suggest focusing on a few per page, making sure that your chosen keywords are present throughout this page.

Your top keywords ought to be focused on your main (home) page, while your less significant keywords can focus on various others pages of your site. Utilize the Google Keyword Tool to search for your keywords’ search volume. It is a very efficient tool and better yet, FREE!

Beware of keyword stuffing. Overuse of these keywords may have a negative impact.

Did you know that people are watching 2 billion videos a day on YouTube and uploading hundreds of thousands of videos daily. In fact, every minute, 24 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube.

This is possibly the biggest marketing opportunity you will ever have.

But how does it work?

I must be mad to be telling you this information, as this is my biggest traffic generating method I have ever used.

However, this is what you need to do.

Go to YouTube and search for the videos that have 75,000 – 100,000 views and are less than a year old.

Then you look below the video at the description. If the video does NOT have a url link there then you have a potential winner.

The next thing to do is check that the video is increasing in popularity. This is easily done by clicking the down arrow bottom right of the video and the video statistics windows will display. As long as the green line is rising then from left to right then the popularity is on the rise as well.

Okay so far so good. Now we need to get our url link to our website, blog or squeeze page underneath this popular video.

Copy the text above into your notepad for use later.

Now what you need to do is click on the video owners name and halfway down the page you will see a link that says “Send Message”. This will enable you to send a personal message to the video owner.

In the Subject you need to enter: “Important” and in the Message box enter the email copy you saved in Notepad. (Don’t forget to change the asterisk parts to your own copy). Now click Send and sit back and wait for a reply or better still repeat the process over and over again.

In my experience you will soon get some replies wanting to know more. Most people using YouTube are not Internet Marketers are do not realise the power it can harness to generate huge traffic to your website. Other emails you can have as well, are your personal names, such as tyrone (at) (dot) com or tim (at) (dot) com. These email accounts may be setup for the sole reason to receive emails within your company from your employees and should only be given out selectively. Keep these emails private if possible because you will want most of your customer’s emails to be handled by your support staff.

* It is separate to my hosting company and if their service goes down, my emails still come through
* Google Apps is free to use and offers lots of storage space

Now that you understand why I recommend Google Apps and that you should switch over, I’ll show you how easy it is to set up and start using today.

How To Setup Google Apps Email?

Setting up Google Apps for your e-commerce business is very easy. Simply follow the steps below and you will be on your way to using Google’s free email servers to run your business emails.

1. Sign up to Google Apps and simply follow the 3 step process.
2. After completing the registration process you will need to verify your domain name. Complete this first.
3. To setup your email click on Activate Email.
4. At the new screen it will ask you to add the MX records. If you don’t know what this is, you will need to contact your hosting provider and get them to change this for you. Most hosting services allow you to change this yourself in your Cpanel and if you are not sure I would suggest contacting your hosting support team.
5. Click on I have completed these steps button when you changed the MX records.
6. You will return to the control panel after this. Click on Email.
7. In the Email screen you will see Change URL, click on this.
8. Change your address to the second option. Therefore it will read “mail (dot) (dot) com”
9. Follow the rest of the instructions on the next screen. You will also need to contact your hosting support to change the CNAMES as well.
10. Wait for a couple hours and your emails we be accessible via “mail (dot) (dot) com”

Make sure you save the following web address to access your Google Apps panel in future: “www (dot) google (dot) com/a/cpanel/ (dot) com”

There Is No Excuse To Not Have A Business Email

After you follow the steps I have shown above there is no excuse for you not to have a professional business email address. It does not cost you anything and Google is constantly increasing the amount of free storage space available for use.
